We’re delighted to become members of the Connection Coalition – a new cross-sector network of organisations, charities, companies and groups formed during the Covid-19 crisis to tackle loneliness and isolation during these difficult times, looking for ways to be socially close while keeping our distance.
The Coalition is founded by The Jo Cox Foundation alongside Mind, The British Red Cross, Facebook, Age UK, Nesta, Nationbuilder and The Cares Family.
At the core of our work is community engagement, and bringing people together. During this time of crisis it is even more important to connect people, especially as we can’t bring people together physically.
“Reducing social isolation, increasing connections, keep learning, giving, keeping active and taking notice… It’s also led on to community members wanting to do more of this type of thing … Brilliant!” – Quote from a participant in one of our projects
By joining the coalition we hope to connect with members on projects that have impact on communities in these difficult times, share ideas, collaborate and help. We believe in the power of relationships and plan to share our work, projects and experiences with this coalition.
We will also be sharing amazing stories of connectivity and work from our projects and our community groups with the Coalition.
We are excited to use this platform to share and collaborate with others who are building strong relationships and connecting communities.
