Create your own Champion Card
However, over the last few months we have heard of inspiring people and their stories from all over the world. Hero healthcare workers, incredible fundraisers and people going that extra mile to make a difference in their community. So our final No Barriers Challenge is to create your own No Barriers Champion Card. This is your chance to show the world who inspires you and makes a positive change to the people around you.
You can choose anyone you like, a family member, a friend, a community leader. Think about who has made your area a better place to live and who you think other people would find ‘inspiring’. Try to pick someone who isn’t already famous, we want to share the hidden stories of local heroes.
On your card you should include:
Information about your Champion – Who are they? Where are they from? Can you include a fun fact about them?
Why are they inspiring – Do they brighten up a room? Do they help others? Do they inspire you to help others? What barriers have they overcome or challenged?
Why are they your Champion – What impact do they have on you and your community? What have you learned from them? What are you now doing or what do you plan to do to make your community a better place?
You can download the Champion Card template below, or design your own on a piece of paper. Include a drawing of your Champion or, if you have their permission, a photo!
Then ask an adult to upload your Champion Card using the button above so we can display them all on our site. You can also see other people’s entries and see if your Champion has been featured by clicking the button below.
