Motherhood, Loss, and the First World War

In response to the 2018 project Motherhood, Loss and the First World War, Yewande Okuleye created #I’mAYorubaMotherWWI; a project about the absence of Yoruba mothers from the narrative of World War One. Looking at the use of language to retrieve hidden history, they succeeded in commemorating and reclaiming the voices of Yoruba mothers.
