India Remembers World War II was a digital commemoration event to mark the contribution of the Indian Army to WW2. As well as hearing from speakers, guests in the UK and India were invited to write a message for India Remembers marigold wreaths.

 

Host Sqdn Ldr [Ret’d] Rana Chhina, writer, military historian and a veteran of the Indian Air Force, was joined by inspiring speakers exploring the Indian story of WW2 from the battle of Kohima to the ‘Naga Queen’.  Speakers included Pratap Chhetri, Catriona Child, Adil Chhina, Bhanu Gahlot, Peter Johnston, Mingma Lhamu Pakhrin, Rob Lyman and Sir Mark Tully. All guests were invited to write a message for India Remembers marigold wreaths. The messages were made into an India Remembers book, copies of which were sent to India and the UK. You can now read all of the messages in a special digital version of this book, available below:
