Dr Herbert Daly is a technology academic and senior lecturer in Computer Science at the University of Hertfordshire. His career has taken him into software development, systems modelling, enterprise computing and beyond. It all starts with his mathematics love story, which Dr Daly traces back to his primary school days at St Mary’s Woodham Ferrers in Essex. Herb has fond memories of watching the first launch of the Space shuttle there in front of the big TV and is looking forward to talking about maths and Science My First Love Maths workshops on Valentine’s day.

Exclusive for upper primary school classes across the UK, My First Love is a partnership between educational organisation Big Ideas and the Royal Air Force Youth & STEM Team.
