The UK Government, supported by the German Government, invites people across the world to mark the centenary of the Armistice by taking part in international bell ringing on Remembrance Sunday.

They would like ringing to take place at 12.30pm on Sunday 11 November to coincide with the nation’s tribute as thousands march past the Cenotaph. Everybody is invited to take part, whether you are a new Ringing Remembers recruit or an experienced ringer. All are welcome. If you haven’t done so already speak with your tower captain to start making plans for ringing during this national moment.

“UK government, supported by the German government, invite nations to participate in international bell ringing to replicate the national outpouring of relief that took place at the end of the war…Throughout the world, bells of all kinds – church, military or any other – are invited by the British Government with the support of the German Government to ring out.”
