Sharika completed both her undergraduate degree in English Literature and her MA in Postcolonial and Global Literatures at Queen Mary University of London, before joining Big Ideas in October 2019 as an Assistant Producer.
During her studies, Sharika was the co-host of Show and Tell which brought together influential academic teaching staff and industry professionals to deliver engaging and accessible talks for young people interested in working in the Arts and possibly studying Humanities at university. She was also a member of the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Committee at the School of English and Drama, and worked as a Widening Participation Student Ambassador, delivering workshops and events which aimed to encourage people from under-represented backgrounds to pursue further education.
Sharika has previously worked as a Evaluation Project Leader at the East End Community Foundation and also has professional experience in the marketing and communications sector. Sharika is a facilitator and a member of the steering committee at the London Chapter of #BecauseWe’veRead, an international reading club designed to challenge the way we see the world.
At Big Ideas, Sharika is involved in a wide range of projects, but focuses primarily on our work with the Premier League.
