My First Love Maths: Averages

This World Maths Day, join superstar mathematician Professor Nira Chamberlain OBE for a fast-paced, interactive dive into the wonderful world of averages. What does working out the mean actually mean? What is the point of finding the average?

Live on Zoom, pupils will tackle fun mathematical challenges, ask questions, and discover how maths shapes the world around them.

Professor Nira Chamberlain, OBE

Nira Chamberlain OBE, is a professional mathematician and founder of Black Heroes of Mathematics, with over 30 years experience of mathematical modelling, simulation and developing algorithms. He works in an international engineering firm to solve problems from locating a missing aeroplane to ensuring more women get top jobs.
