Join us at the Great Exhibition Road Festival on 7 and 8 June for a weekend of free activities for all ages. A short walk from South Kensington Tube, Great Exhibition Road will be bursting with things to see and do. Expect interactive exhibits, creative workshops, and live demonstrations all themed around science and the arts.
You can find Big Ideas in the 1851der Tent (pronounced Eighteen Fifty Wonder) showcasing incredible science, design and research from 1851 Fellows. The 1851 Fellows receive funding from the Royal Commission of 1851 to carry out cutting edge research and take new steps in the world of design and technology.
This year you can learn about the cryptic world of Quantum, test your lungs with a new breathing app and celebrate design by making your very own Rube Goldberg machine.
The 1851der Tent will have interactive exhibits, information on the history of the original Great Exhibition of 1851, and there will be scientists, designers, researchers and physicists to answer your questions.
Join us in June – it’s going to be 1der-ful!
