Fibonacci Day with Lassina Dembélé

Date: Monday 23 November 2026
Times: 10:00 AM or 2:00 PM (50 minutes each)
Format: Live, online, and classroom-ready – all you need is paper!

How can one simple mathematical rule lead to so many surprising discoveries?

Primary Schools across the UK are invited to join mathematician Lassina Dembele for a live exploration of the Fibonacci sequence; one of the most famous ideas in mathematics. Starting with just a few numbers, students will uncover the rule behind the sequence before discovering the many patterns hidden within it.

This isn’t just an event about Fibonacci. It’s an opportunity for students to think like mathematicians.

Students will:

  • Discover the rule behind the Fibonacci sequence.
  • Search for hidden patterns and make mathematical conjectures.
  • Explore mathematical models and the Golden Ratio.
  • Discover how mathematicians use Fibonacci in science, engineering and technology today.

Exclusive for Key Stage 2 classes (8-11 year olds) across the UK – book your FREE place now!
