The GameChangers programme, run by Big Ideas, challenges young people to take action in their schools and communities on the issues they care about. Big Ideas has delivered GameChangers as the Greater London Authority’s schools programme since September 2020 with a focus on areas of social deprivation.

Big Ideas has worked with 9792 young people, in 198 schools across the capital. As part of the programme, Big Ideas produces digital Youth Summits that connect young people in classrooms with inspiring speakers and with other young people to share what they have already done. The summits have inspired young people to take action on racial justice, food security and climate justice in their schools and communities as well as providing the opportunity to connect with youth activists, campaigners and special guest the Deputy Mayor, Dr Debbie Weeks-Bernard. You can watch highlights of our Racial Justice Youth Summit here.

“It was great for our children to have an open conversation about race and equality and it has been a fantastic way to start Black History Month.”
